Handling multiple accounts is tedious folks. I’m not talking about bank accounts here but actually Gmail’s. Besides the everyday ordeal at work, I’m obliged to monitor more than five Gmail accounts on a daily basis – some of the company’s while some of my own. People know me from different names in the internet, some call me Marshal some Steve while highly esteemed as Jenny. Well hell, the bitch’s getting famous these days. I wish if I could ever be able to sell that email for some multi-million dollar someday. Let’s see. Anyways, besides these fake accounts that I use for information sharing, fair to say, marketing, I also monitor few email address of my company, and that being genuine. Adapting to the change in character makes me fear that I might fell victim to multiple-personality disorder someday. Losing my identity (religion)….
Life as an imposter is crazy you know! And I hope you reading this feel the pain as well. Different developer’s forum like stack exchange and developer.com keeps me engaged with some insolent geeks I feel like banging in the head. Social media like Digg, Reddit, LinkedIn etc are rather cool places to dwell in. And these are the places where I sell my drugs on a timely basis. Not too much and not too less, just enough to keep them intrigued. Whoa was that confidential? Who cares?
Exploiting these email addresses and fooling people around is not all fun. Checking notification email about any updates to these email addresses can give you some serious sticks if you don’t follow the tips and tricks. Now as Gmail (in the first place) does not allow signing-in multiple Gmail accounts from the same browser, you’re imposed to open multiple browsers if you’re monitoring multiple email addresses. Firefox, IE, Chrome, Opera now what for the next two email address you require attention? Sign out and Sign in. Well forget about it.
Here’s the deal. Gmail allows you to sign with all the email address that you use from only one browser that you adore by tweaking some settings. Follow these steps:
- After signing in to one of your account, click on your email address on the top-right corner and go to Account settings.
- Now in the Personal Settings menu, go to Multiple sign-in option (currently Off). Click Edit.
- Enable multiple signing by selecting ON and also tick on all the check boxes. Click on Save.
- Now we’re ready to go, click on Gmail from the top menu.
- Click on your email address and then on Switch Account.
- Now select sign in to another account.
There you have it. Sign in with your other email addresses all from the same browser. Enjoy!
